ABC-XYZ Childcare Ltd aim to always have at least one, if not two, well- qualified managers at every session & a general staff:child ratio of 1:8 to maintain the highest standard of care for your child. All staff have received an enhanced CRB/DBS check.  We have an ongoing training programme for all staff including food hygiene, safeguarding, first aid and play work. Members of staff are also encouraged to undertake further professional qualifications such as NVQs.

Claire and I met when our eldest children started at Aboyne Lodge in 2003.  I have 4 children who attended Aboyne Lodge. The thought of starting our own business was very exciting and things have gone from strength to strength over the years. We are delighted to have a fantastic team of staff providing a wonderful service – Breakfast, Lunch & After School Care to many local families.

Sarah and I established the ABC Breakfast Club at Aboyne Lodge School in 2006. Following on from the success of this, we opened the XYZ After School Club, and were then invited to run before and after school clubs at the Alban City School when it opened in Sept 2012.  Both of my daughters attended Aboyne Lodge School. We are proud to deliver high-quality childcare, and enjoy being part of the schools’ community.

 Rabia Begum – Senior Manager XYZ

Having grown up in St Albans, I worked as a MSA and was a voluntary classroom assistant whilst my children were at school. I was also a school governor at a local school for 4 years.
I joined XYZ After School club as a play worker in 2013, and was delighted in 2016 to be promoted to the senior manager role. My role is varied from managing a large team of wonderful staff, to planning and organising the activities, and ensuring the sessions run smoothly.
During my time at ABC-XYZ I have completed my NVQ level 3 in Playwork, child protection designated person level 2, safeguarding level 2.  I also have full paediatric first aid training and food Hygiene level 2.

Sharon Jackson- Manager

I live in St Albans with my four children and also manage a local pre-school. My qualifications include: NVQ Level 3/4 in child care and early years, Safeguarding designated person, Special educational needs coordinator (SENCO), Level 2 Food Hygiene, and First Aid. I also have experience as a School Governor in a local school.

  Jess Gaulthier- Manager

I began working at XYZ in 2013, not long after completing level 3 child care at collage. I also work in a local pre school which gives me the experience of working with a variety of different ages groups. During my free time I enjoy spending time with family and friends. Qualifications: cache Level 3 diploma children and young people workforce, first aid trained, food hygiene and safeguarding.
